A Q&A on Russia and Ukraine

  • 130 Cypress St Providence, RI 02906 USA (map)

In addition to being a director at Red Ink, Alexander Herbert is a historian of Russia and the Soviet Union who was in St. Petersburg for the first three days of the war. In this presentation and Q and A, he draws on a wealth of knowledge and direct experience of the region and its history to provide a comprehensive leftist approach to understanding.

The event is free and open to the public, but Red Ink is also seeking to raise funds for internal improvements. Donations are not required but strongly suggested.

What are the historical roots of the crisis? What is the responsibility of the West? What role does NATO play? How should we as leftists understand what is happening? Is there an anti-war movement in Russia? How does this crisis impact the Globe? Rhode Island? What is the Azov Battalion? Is there an anti-war movement in Russia? Has Putin lost his mind?
